Heather Quiroz, Clinical Supervisor - CLSW-S

Heather R. Quiroz is a board-approved clinical supervisor for social workers and counselors, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) licensed in New Mexico, with over seven years of experience in clinical practice and clinical supervision. She is passionate about supporting emerging social workers and counselors through high-quality, trauma-informed supervision that promotes ethical practice, clinical confidence, and sustainable professional growth.

Heather earned her Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology from New Mexico State University. Her professional background spans infant mental health, Early Head Start programs, foster care, domestic violence services, teen mental health, and trauma-focused care, experience that deeply informs her supervisory lens.

As a clinical supervisor, Heather provides supportive yet intentional guidance, creating space for clinicians to strengthen their skills, refine their clinical judgment, and develop their own authentic therapeutic voice. Her supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in compassion, with a strong emphasis on client-centered and trauma-informed care.

In addition to supervision, Heather offers individual therapy services to adults. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and works with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, family stress, and complex life transitions. Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to meet each client where they are, fostering a safe space for healing and meaningful change.

Whether you are a clinician seeking thoughtful, supportive supervision or an individual looking for therapy and EMDR services, Heather brings experience, care, and intention to every aspect of her work.
